Monday October 24, Reading Log #4, Topic Choice #5- Gate Depth & Complexity + Context Imparitives12/1/2016 Throughout this novel, I can make a connection with what I read and multiple perspectives. Since there are sections throughout this novel, it includes perspectives such as Via's and Auggie's. On Auggie's perspective in school, he thinks " the rest of September was hard. I wasn't used to getting up so early in the morning. I wasn't used to this whole notion of homework" (50). This is how Auggie feels about school whereas for Via, it's a whole different story since she has never been home schooled like him and is used to everything that Auggie isn't. Via at some point in the novel explains to us that " what I always loved most about middle school was that it was separate and different from home " (68). The explains how she prefers being at school than at home whereas Auggie prefers being at home than going to school. This also gives an example of how multiple perspectives can be seen throughout the novel.
